Elana Widmann

Elana Widmann serves as the Executive Communications Lead at OpenAI since July 2025. Previously, Elana held multiple roles at Meta from April 2018 to June 2025, including Communications Manager for Reality Labs and the Office of the CEO, as well as Corporate Communications Manager. At WayUp from July 2015 to April 2018, Elana was the Head of Communications, notably launching National Intern Day, which gained worldwide recognition on Twitter and reached over 261 million people. Elana also directed an extensive college ambassador program during this time. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Account Executive at Goodman Media International, where media placements were secured for various clients, and an internship at MWW focused on social and digital media content creation. Elana holds a BSBA in International Business and Hebrew from Washington University in St. Louis, complemented by a Business Study Abroad Semester at Reichman University.
