Jay Patel

Jay Patel is a skilled technology professional currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since January 2025. Prior to this role, Jay was the Founding Engineer for Opendoor Exclusives from January 2021 to January 2024, and co-founder and CTO of Wildfire from January 2015 to January 2021, which was later acquired by Opendoor. Jay also gained experience as a Product Intern at Databricks in 2016 and as a Product Security Intern at Dropbox in 2015, where efforts included introducing U2F support for secure authentication. Jay Patel holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
