Jia Cai

Jia Cai has extensive work experience in technical project management, business operations engineering, and machine learning engineering. They worked at OpenAI from 2011 to present as a Technical Project Manager, where they drove progress on product roadmaps and coordinated delivery schedules. They also worked as a Business Operations Engineer, building tools to optimize cost centers and expanding revenue operations. Before that, they were a Machine Learning Engineer at OpenAI. Prior to OpenAI, Jia worked at Dataminr, managing accounts and improving the accuracy and efficiency of analytics and reporting infrastructure as a Data Analyst II. Jia also worked as a Backend Development Engineer at Tencent from 2000 to 2002.

Jia Cai earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2000. Jia then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from The University of Texas at Austin, which they completed in 2005.
