Larry K.

Larry K. is a seasoned professional in the field of computer science with extensive experience in model inference and large-scale distributed systems. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since June 2023, Larry previously worked as a Principal Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from September 2022 to June 2023, focusing on the control plane for AWS Athena. Prior to AWS, Larry was a Tech Lead Manager at Google for nearly a decade, co-founding and leading Slicer, a general-purpose infrastructure system. Additionally, Larry contributed as a Software Engineer at Airbnb, leading a team to develop a user-facing platform for financial transactions. Larry holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a candidate for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Peking University.
