Larry Xu currently serves as a Member of Technical Staff for the Identity Platform at OpenAI since October 2023. Prior to this role, Larry held multiple positions at Dropbox from May 2016 to September 2023, culminating in a Lead Software Engineer role for the Identity Protection Team, where responsibilities included mentoring engineers, defining product roadmaps, and establishing significant technical enhancements. Larry contributed to the development and launch of Dropbox Passwords, significantly increasing user engagement and retention. Earlier experiences include research roles at UC Berkeley's RISELab and AMPLab, as well as software engineering internships at Uber, Munchery, and CITRIS. Larry holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
