Leon Maksin

Leon Maksin is a highly skilled technical professional with extensive experience in engineering, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since August 2024, Leon previously co-directed Shift, Michigan's only community dedicated to execution-focused professionals. As Vice President of New Member Development at BOND Consulting Group, Leon mentored new members in data analysis and public speaking. Leon's diverse background includes roles as an intern at Bubble, where roadmaps for plugins were developed, and as a founder of NYC Aerospace, a non-profit organization that fostered aerospace education through hands-on initiatives. With a strong academic foundation in Computer Science and Business from the University of Michigan and additional coursework at renowned institutions like The Wharton School and NYU Stern, Leon showcases a commitment to education, innovation, and community engagement.
