Michael Welsh serves as the Head of People Programs & Strategy (interim) and Head of Learning, Development & Coaching at OpenAI since April 2025. As the Founder of WelshWorks LLC starting in 2023, Michael focuses on leadership coaching and consulting to cultivate healthy organizations and leaders. Prior experience includes the role of Vice President of Corporate Services at Hudson Institute of Coaching, where Michael designed and delivered leadership development solutions, significantly increasing annual revenue and customer satisfaction. Michael held leadership roles at Stripe, Intercom, and Facebook, contributing to employee development and leadership effectiveness during rapid organizational growth. Michael holds an M.B.A. in Organizational Design and Strategy from the University of California, Berkeley, and both MS and BSBA degrees in Accounting from Robert Morris University.
