Mike Hunter

Mike Hunter currently serves as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since May 2023. Previously, Mike was a Security Engineer at Robinhood from November 2017 to February 2023, where responsibilities included production server security, policy development, and incident response, as well as management of the Corporate Engineering organization. Prior to that, Mike held multiple roles at Seagate Technology, including Senior eSecurity Manager and Information Security Architect, where responsibilities ranged from managing security architecture teams to executing intellectual property protection campaigns. Mike's foundational experience includes a Research Scientist position at the Georgia Tech Information Security Center and a Programmer Analyst III role at the University of California at Berkeley. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
