Sam Tang

Sam Tang is a skilled technology professional with extensive experience in the payments sector. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI since August 2025, Sam previously worked at Airbnb as an Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer focused on payments from August 2018 to July 2025. Prior roles include serving as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead for Google Payments from October 2012 to June 2018, and as a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft, specializing in commerce platforms from September 2008 to May 2012.
