Srinivas Narayanan

Srinivas Narayanan is the VP of Applied at OpenAI, responsible for leading product efforts such as ChatGPT and APIs. Prior to joining OpenAI, Srinivas was the VP of Engineering at Facebook, where Srinivas led the AI Applied Research & Engineering Group from 2017 to 2021. Srinivas co-founded and served as the CTO at Viralizr, a startup focusing on consumer products for social collaboration. Additionally, Srinivas was the Director of Technology at Tavant Technologies, leading teams in building web-based software products in the finance and manufacturing verticals. Srinivas started their career as a Software Engineer at IBM Almaden Research Center, where Srinivas worked on object-relational database systems. Srinivas holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
