Thomas Raoux is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in compiler development for GPUs and machine learning. Since June 2023, Thomas has been part of OpenAI as a Member of Technical Staff, focusing on the Triton compiler for GPUs. Prior to this role, Thomas worked at Google from May 2019 to June 2023 as a Staff Software Engineer, contributing to the development of a machine learning compiler within IREE and MLIR, and as a Software Engineer leading the TPU LLVM backend team. Thomas's career at Intel Corporation spanned nearly a decade, during which time significant contributions were made as a Compiler Engineer leading the Intel GPU compiler development, and as a Graphics Software Engineer working on D3D user mode driver development. Thomas began the professional journey at CEA as a Summer intern in 2007, implementing a compiler for DSP architecture. Thomas holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Centrale Lyon, earned between 2005 and 2008.
