Wang Lu Lu

Wang Lu Lu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence research and application. Currently serving as VP of AI Research and Applied AI at OpenAI since October 2015, Wang Lu Lu has successfully built a practical pipeline linking AI research with product and engineering teams while contributing to the development of the company's long-term AI strategy. Previous roles include Senior Director of AI Research, where leadership was provided over multiple teams working on diverse AI technologies, and Head of Applied AI Research, focusing on enhancing the capabilities and safety of APIs. Prior to OpenAI, Wang Lu Lu worked as a Data Scientist and Data Analyst at Ekta Flow, handling various analytical tasks and conducting research for diverse financial and IT clients. Academically, Wang Lu Lu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics-Computer Science and NanoEngineering from The George Washington University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on Investment and Strategy.
