Theodore Aptekarev has a long and varied work experience. Theodore began their career in 2005 as a Sports and Events Manager for Red Bull, where they were responsible for day-to-day relations with national and international Red Bull branded athletes and support of 3-d party events. In 2007, they became a Self Employed Marketing Producer, where they were responsible for the first large-scale use of AR in Russian marketing. In 2010, they joined Russian Visual Artists as an Engineer and VFX Supervisor, where they were responsible for communication between the artists and technical subcontractors. In 2011, they became a Visiting Scholar at Audiovisual Academy, where they were involved in research and teaching courses in computer graphics and multimedia in performance arts. In 2015, they joined the Startup Leadership Program as a Fellow. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at 3D Predict as a Technology Advisor and Chief Technology Officer, where they were responsible for their proprietary patented AI technology for roots and bone-based treatment planning. In 2021, they began working at OpenBB as a Director of Engineering and Principal Software Engineer. Additionally, they are a Research Fellow at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they research application of deep learning for performing various diagnostics of respiratory diseases.
Theodore Aptekarev attended Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a Specialist degree in Sociology. In 2003, they also attended the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, studying Strategy and tactics of management of sports projects. From 2000 to 2002, they attended the Higher School of Economics, studying Sociology. In 2012, Theodore obtained the D3 Designer certification from d3 Technologies Ltd.
