Nicole Carrero has a diverse work experience in both the education and technology sectors. Nicole started their career as a Student Teacher in the Roxbury Public School District in 2013. Nicole then worked as a Middle School Math Teacher in the Hoboken Public School District for a brief period in 2014. From 2014 to 2015, Nicole worked as a Paraprofessional in the School District of the Chathams.

Nicole joined Broward County Public Schools in 2015 as a 5th Grade Teacher, teaching various subjects such as math, English language arts, science, and social studies. Nicole then progressed to take on different leadership roles within the school district. From 2016 to 2018, they served as a 1st Grade Teacher and later became the 1st Grade Team Leader, overseeing a team of 6 first-grade teachers. In 2018, Nicole joined the Elementary Learning Department Standards Task Force Cadre, where they obtained an instructional facilitator micro-credential and facilitated elementary math professional development for the county. From 2020 to 2022, they worked in the Teacher to Coach Program, developing the necessary leadership skills to become an instructional coach in the county.

In 2019, Nicole enrolled in a coding bootcamp with LaunchCode, where they trained as a Full-Stack Software Engineer Student, learning programming fundamentals and web development skills. As part of the bootcamp, they worked on a project called the Workout Tracker, using languages and frameworks such as C#, HTML5/CSS3, Razor Templates, Bootstrap, ASP.NET MVC Framework, and SQLServer.

Most recently, Nicole joined OpenBots as a Software Engineer in 2020. Nicole is currently working in this role, contributing their skills and expertise to the organization.

In 2019, Nicole completed the Launchcode101 Program in Computer Software Engineering at LaunchCode.

In 2013, they obtained a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus.

From 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology/QUEST at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus.

In terms of certifications, Nicole obtained the RPA Developer Advanced Certificate, RPA Solution Architect Foundation Certificate, RPA Developer Foundation Certificate, RPA Business Analyst Certificate, and RPA Implementation Manager Foundation Certificate from UiPath in 2020.

Nicole also holds the Full-Stack Software Engineer certification from LaunchCode, obtained in December 2019.

In addition, Nicole obtained the Elementary Education K-6 certification from the Florida Department of Education in March 2015 and from the New Jersey Department of Education in February 2014. Nicole also obtained the Middle School Mathematics 6-8 certification from the New Jersey Department of Education in February 2014.
