Melissa Mitchell

Melissa Mitchell's work experience includes being the Head of Business Development and Product Innovation at OpenCampus® since 2020. Prior to that, they founded and led VOLO Group, a technology business specialized in career volunteering solutions, from 2015 to 2020. Melissa secured a £300k seed investment for VOLO Group and managed the development of proprietary technology.

Before VOLO Group, Melissa worked at Bloomberg from 2008 to 2015, where they served as a Business Development Manager and a Project Coordinator. As a Business Development Manager, they successfully launched the Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, establishing partnerships with universities and achieving high enrolment rates. Melissa also developed comprehensive marketing strategies for a successful product launch. As a Project Coordinator, Melissa formulated a global social media recruitment strategy, organized recruitment events, and provided support throughout the recruitment process.

Melissa also has experience at Agilent Technologies as a Marketing Project Manager from 2007 to 2008, where they led various marketing initiatives such as integrating assets post-acquisition, coordinating trade shows, and managing print media placement. Melissa also held a social entrepreneurship internship role at Qualcomm in 2007, where they executed successful partnership initiatives and contributed to managing a national conference.

Melissa's work experience also includes a sports marketing internship at adidas group in 2006.

Melissa Mitchell obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Business from San Diego State University, specializing in Marketing, Western Europe, and Portuguese. Melissa completed their undergraduate studies from 2001 to 2006. Later, Melissa pursued further education at San Diego State University, obtaining a Master of Science in Business Administration (MSBA) with a focus on Corporate Entrepreneurship, which they completed in 2007.
