OpenCultures investigates the complex relationship between climate knowledge and urban design practice and, on this basis, develops design principles that directly support climate adaptation in urban development and spatial planning. The inter- and transdisciplinary research consortium pursues participatory, intersectional, and counter-hegemonical approaches that consider buildings and infrastructures in their social, material, and symbolic dimensions.
