Vikas Gupta

Vikas Gupta has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Vikas started their career as an Executive Trainee at NTPC in 2009 and then moved on to work as a Visiting Lecturer at the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in 2011. Vikas later became an Assistant Professor at NITS Mirza, where they taught undergraduate courses and organized tech talks on embedded systems and robotics.

In 2015, Vikas joined Samsung Electronics as a Senior Software Engineer, working on a Proof of Concept for a NVMe over Fabrics driver. Vikas dealt with Linux kernel block layer, NVMe protocol, and RDMA architecture during this role.

In 2016, they joined Snapdeal as a Senior Data Scientist. Vikas'sresponsibilities included building an explicit content detection system for the automated quality check system using Deep Learning and working on metadata creation from images using Computer Vision and Deep Learning.

Vikas then transitioned to OpenCV, where they held positions such as Director of Education and Training. Vikas was also part of Big Vision as a Vice President for AI Courses and as a Director of Content for LearnOpenCV.com. Vikas'swork in these roles involved the development and operations of courses and blogs related to OpenCV and computer vision.

Throughout their career, Vikas has demonstrated expertise in AI, computer vision, deep learning, and software engineering.

Vikas Gupta obtained a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence (SSA) from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from VNIT Nagpur, which they completed from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Vikas Gupta has obtained additional certifications. Vikas completed a course at OpenCV in May 2022, and also completed a Tensorflow Bootcamp, details of which including the obtained month and year are unavailable.
