David Thoumas

David Thoumas has extensive work experience in the technology industry. David co-founded Opendatasoft in 2011, where they served as the CTO. At Opendatasoft, David led the definition and implementation of their cloud-based Data Management & Data Publishing platform. David focused on smart cities, internet of things, and open data platforms, helping customers set up and operate their own data exchanges platform using cloud computing and big data technologies.

Prior to Opendatasoft, David worked at EXALEAD, starting in 2002. David held various roles within the company, including Software Architect and Consulting Manager. As the Consulting Manager for Exalead France, they managed a team of 15 people and focused on securing customer deployments for major organizations such as Pages Jaunes, La Poste, and Dassault Aviation. Throughout their time at EXALEAD, David was involved in product packaging, R&D development integration, and software development.

David Thoumas obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lycée Clemenceau Nantes, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy, which they completed from 1999 to 2001. Later, David attended ISIA - Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, where they earned another Master's degree in Computer Science and System controls from 2001 to 2003.
