Thomas Minier has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Thomas started their career as a Web Developer at Ouest Médias, where they reworked the homepage of the company's website and developed a new version of the company's management system for its pictures database. Thomas then worked as an Intern Web Developer at CAPACITÉS SAS before joining the Laboratoire des Sciences du Numérique de Nantes (LS2N) as a Research Intern. In this role, they worked within the GDD Team, supervised by Pr. Dr. Pascal Molli and Dr. During their time at LS2N, they also worked as a PhD Student and R&D Engineer, conducting research in the field of the Semantic Web and Database Systems and teaching as a Teaching Assistant.
Thomas later worked as a Lead Full-stack Developer at Groupe SII, where they led a team of developers and worked on projects for Groupe La Poste and Thalès. Thomas was responsible for designing and developing a web application for the configuration and administration of the Groupe La Poste internet grid, as well as a microservices application to fight phishing.
In 2017, Thomas also started contributing as an Open Source Developer on GitHub, working on projects such as rdflib-hdt, bloom-filters, sparql-engine, and sage-engine. Thomas continued to contribute to these projects until 2022.
Most recently, Thomas joined Opendatasoft as a Software Engineer in 2021.
Thomas Minier's education history is as follows:
From 2017 to 2020, they attended Nantes Université and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Sciences, specializing in Semantic Web.
From 2015 to 2017, they also attended Nantes Université and earned a Master's degree in ALMA (Architecture Logicielle et Méthodes Avancées), focusing on Software Architecture.
Between 2012 and 2015, they studied at Nantes Université and received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
In 2012, they completed their secondary education at Lycée Jules Verne and earned the Baccalauréat scientifique (Scientific Baccalaureate).
In addition to their formal education, Thomas Minier has obtained several certifications. Thomas completed a course on "Les fondements de la gestion de projet agile" at LinkedIn in September 2020. In April 2020, they obtained certifications in "Google Cloud Baseline: Infrastructure" and "Google Cloud Essentials" from Qwiklabs. Thomas also completed courses on "Construisez des Microservices" and "Optimisez votre achitecture Microservices" at OpenClassrooms in February 2020.
