Kristopher Pockell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kristopher is currently working at OpenEye as a Software Engineering Manager since April 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at OpenEye as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2019 to April 2023.
In addition to their software engineering roles, Kristopher co-founded two companies. Kristopher was a Co-Founder at Elixir Sauce Company from May 2020, and at Bit Elixir from July 2017.
Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Kristopher worked as a Software Developer at AssetWorks LLC from February 2016 to February 2019.
Kristopher gained hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist at Romney Motion from November 2014 to February 2016, where they ran and maintained CNC mills and developed software solutions using Visual Basic for Applications and Visual Studio 2013 with C#.NET.
Prior to Romney Motion, Kristopher worked as a CNC Machinist at Mackay Manufacturing from April 2013 to November 2014. Here, they were responsible for setting up and tearing down various axis CNC machines and used Excel macros and VBA automation.
At USWP Manufacturing, Kristopher served as a Supervisor from November 2010 to April 2013, where they supervised the machine shop and operated and maintained CNC mills.
Before entering the field of engineering, Kristopher worked as a Legal Assistant at the Law Office of Elizabeth Zagajeski from May 2009 to April 2010, and at the Law Office of Gary L. Fales & Associates from February 2008 to May 2009.
Kristopher Pockell's education history begins in 2013 when they attended Ivy Bridge College of Tiffin University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology. This program lasted until 2014 when they completed their studies. Following this, Kristopher enrolled in WGU Washington in 2014 and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Software Development.
Continuing their education, Kristopher pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Information Technology Management at Western Governors University. Kristopher started this program in 2020 and completed it in 2021.
In addition to their degrees, Kristopher has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they achieved the CompTIA A+ ce Certification. In 2015, they obtained the CLA+ Advanced Critical Thinker certification from CAE (Council for Aid to Education), along with the CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS Stackable Certification and CompTIA Network+ ce Certification. In 2016, they earned the CompTIA Project+ Certification. Finally, in 2017, they obtained both the CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification and the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification.
