Openlands
Katie Fleming has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Katie has experience working in various environmental organizations such as Openlands, Friends of the Forest Preserves, National Audubon Society, Illinois Natural History Survey, and Center for Oceanic Research & Education. In these roles, Katie gained hands-on experience in restoration projects, invasive species management, fish ecology research, and coral reef conservation. Katie developed leadership, fieldwork, and database management skills while working with volunteers, staff, and stakeholders to improve habitat health and promote conservation efforts.
