Michael Chan has over 15 years of professional experience in the legal and technology industries. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Judicial Clerk for the New York Supreme Court, where they researched and wrote draft opinions on landlord/tenant and contract issues. Michael also held a Legal Intern position at the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs, where they arbitrated disputes and negotiated settlements between consumers and businesses. In 2004, Michael was a Research Assistant at the Columbia Institute of Tele-Information and held a Privacy Compliance position at DoubleClick. Since 2018, they have been the General Counsel & Blockchain Engineer at Tribute Labs, where they perform general counsel duties and codes blockchain based smart contracts using Ethereum, Solidity, Truffle, Alchemy, Remix, Gananche, React, and NodeJs.

Michael Chan attended the Cardozo School of Law from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a J.D. in Law. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
