George Albert Pitoy

George Albert Pitoy has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. George started their career in 2015 as a Teaching/Lecturer's Assistant at Universitas Indonesia. In 2017, they interned as a Frontend Developer at Bukalapak, where they gained experience in Git workflow and developed image cropping and hoverzoom plugins. George also interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Qlapa, where they worked on back-end tasks and front-end development using Play Framework 2 and React + Redux/Reflux.

In 2018, George joined STOQO as a Frontend Engineer, where they played a key role in the website overhaul, enabling customers to purchase via the website and expanding STOQO's user base. George also built the Warehouse Management System dashboard and mobile apps, as well as a delivery routing web app. As a Software Engineer II, George improved code and architectural design standards, worked on a design system, and mentored and guided engineering interns.

Since 2020, George has been working as a Software Engineer at OpenLearning Limited. Their responsibilities include working with various technologies like React, React Native, TypeScript, Webpack, and Redux. George has also built a real-time chat widget that can interact with learning platforms. Overall, George has a strong background in software engineering and has made significant contributions to their previous employers.

George Albert Pitoy attended SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta from 2011 to 2014, focusing on the field of study in Natural Sciences. Subsequently, between 2014 and 2018, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Indonesia.
