Shannen Rissel

Head of Customer Success at OpenLearning

Shannen Rissel has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Shannen began their career at Rimex Metals/Central Coast Group Training as a Sales/Administration Trainee, where they specialized in colored and textured stainless steel and plain aluminum sheets. Shannen also handled sales, quoting, invoicing, and marketing responsibilities. In 2015, Shannen joined Bunnings as a Special Orders Expert, where they managed customer special orders, processed payments and invoices, and provided customer service.

From 2015 to 2018, Shannen worked at Scentia in various customer success roles. As a Customer Success Coordinator, they supported students throughout their learning journey and trained them on the learning management system. Shannen later became a Customer Success Team Leader, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence. In their last role at Scentia, Shannen was a Customer Success Manager, overseeing non-academic support for vocational and higher education courses, and ensuring student retention and graduate outcomes.

In 2018, Shannen joined RedHill Education as an Academic Services Coordinator, coordinating academic services for students. Shannen later became the Online Student Services Manager, where they managed online student services.

Most recently, Shannen joined OpenLearning Limited in 2020. Shannen started as a Customer Success Team Leader, ensuring excellent customer service and operational excellence. Shannen was then promoted to Global Customer Success Manager, responsible for customer success on a global scale. Currently, Shannen holds the position of Head of Customer Success at OpenLearning Limited.
