Han Yun (云汉) is a Photonics Design Engineer at OpenLight since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Silicon Photonics Design Engineer at Juniper Networks since 2020, where they designed components such as ring resonator, mode-filter, MMI splitter, adiabatic coupler, directional coupler, MZI switch, and Bragg filter, and conducted modelling and design validation, wafer-level test, and statistical data analysis. Before that, they were a Ph.D. Candidate, Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Academic Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Ph.D. Student at the University of British Columbia from 2011 to 2009, where they designed, numerically modeled, and characterized silicon photonics circuits, developed WeBWorK courses, and designed and implemented electromagnetic questions for ELEC 211 course. Han obtained their Master of Applied Science, M.A.Sc. in 2009 and Bachelor of Applied Science, B.A.Sc. in 2005, both at the University of British Columbia Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Han Yun attended The University of British Columbia from 2005 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering in 2009, a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering in 2013, and a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2020.
