Rob Guzzon has a diverse work experience in the photonics industry. Rob began their career in 2005 as an Undergraduate Researcher at Lehigh University Compound Semiconductor Technology Laboratory. Rob then continued their research in 2007 at the University of California, Santa Barbara as a Graduate Researcher, where they developed new theory of the dynamic range limits of microwave photonic filters incorporating semiconductor optical amplifiers. In 2012, they worked as a Systems Test Engineer and Photonic Systems Engineer and Test Manager at Aurrion. Rob also worked as a Traveler at Guzzon Tours. In 2016, they joined Juniper Networks as a Senior Hardware Engineer and Hardware Platforms Manager for Silicon Photonics. Rob is currently employed at OpenLight as a Senior Manager of Photonic Systems Engineering since 2022.
Rob Guzzon earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Lehigh University from 2002 to 2007, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University from 2002 to 2006. Rob then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara from 2007 to 2009, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara from 2007 to 2011.
