Tom Derrick is the Senior Vice President and Co-Founder of OpenMarkets, a software-driven marketplace for healthcare equipment. Tom has been with the company for 11 years and 2 months, and is responsible for all aspects of the company, with a particular emphasis on marketing and strategy.

Prior to joining OpenMarkets, Tom was the Director of Communication & International Sales for Dr. Comfort, a rapidly growing private healthcare manufacturing company. Tom served as the lead authority on regulatory affairs, Medicare rules and private insurance landscape, and was also the point person for industry lobbying efforts. In their role, Tom also had significant responsibility leading sales in the orthotic and prosthetic sector.

Before their time at Dr. Comfort, Tom was the Director of PR, Marketing & Ethics for the American Board for Certification for 6 years and 7 months.

Tom Derrick holds a BA in Economics from Wake Forest University and an MBA from DePaul University's Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Their MBA is in a dual concentration of Health Sector Management and Entrepreneurship. During their time at DePaul, they were the founder and president of the AcademyHealth Student Chapter.
