Jode S

Jodi Spacek is a seasoned professional with a strong background in privacy engineering and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Privacy Engineer at Google since January 2021 and as an Open Source Developer for OpenMined, Jodi contributes to the Differential Privacy pipeline library. Previous roles include Production Engineer and Privacy Engineer at Shopify, as well as a guest lecturer on Privacy Engineering at The University of British Columbia. Jodi's research experience includes work on censorship circumvention systems and decentralized distributed systems, with notable internships funded by NSERC and Mitacs. Jodi holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Music in Piano from Mount Allison University. Additionally, Jodi has experience in various software development roles at companies such as Hootsuite, Elastic Path Software, and the University of Victoria.
