Muhammad Umer Jamil has over 13 years of work experience in the technology and telecom industry. Muhammad Umer began their career in 2007 as a Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management Executive at Warid Telecom. Muhammad Umer then held various roles at the company, including Manager IT Business Intelligence, Assistant Manager Business Intelligence & Reporting, and Senior Executive Business Intelligence. In 2014, they joined IBM as a Senior Business Analyst and was responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and IBM's BI development team. In 2018, they joined OpenPort as Regional Manager - Technology Solutions.

Muhammad Umer Jamil has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Hons) from the University of Central Punjab, which they completed in 2005. Muhammad Umer then went on to pursue a Master of Information Technology at the University of the Punjab, which they completed in 2006.
