Director, Customer Success at Openprise

Ryan Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Ryan started their career at Momentum Worldwide as a Promotional Sales Model. Ryan then moved on to MKTG INC, where they worked as a Lead Promotional Sales Model and Model Sales Trainer, promoting products on-site and conducting training.

Ryan gained experience in campaign coordination and fundraising as an Assistant Campaign Coordinator for the "Play But Play Safe" Outreach Campaign at Capital City AIDS Fund.

Ryan also worked at Digital Deployment as an Executive Logistics Manager, assisting in the company's move to a new facility and managing company assets.

At Regal Wine Company, they worked as a Seasonal Merchandiser, building visual displays, fostering relationships with retail management, and obtaining additional space for supplier brands.

Ryan served as an Assistant Project Manager at PL Mak Inc., where they synthesized and organized agency documents.

Ryan spent a significant amount of time at MongoDB, Inc. as a Marketing Automation Manager, handling various tasks within marketing systems and being an expert in Marketo and Salesforce. Ryan also worked in Sales Operations, gaining a clear understanding of how a sales operations team utilizes Salesforce.

Before joining Openprise as the Director of Customer Success, Ryan held roles of increasing responsibility within the company, starting as a Customer Success Manager and then progressing to Customer Success Director. These roles involved helping customers achieve success with Openprise solutions, resolving issues, supporting ongoing initiatives, and working with the product team to evolve the solution based on customer needs.

Lastly, they worked at The Pedowitz Group as an Associate Revenue Engineer, Revenue Engineer, and Senior Revenue Engineer, where they provided best practices to align sales and marketing, improve processes, and train employees, with a particular expertise in Marketo.

Ryan Nelson attended the University of California, Davis from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication, General. In addition to their formal education, Ryan has obtained several certifications including Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist from Salesforce in September 2018, Content Marketing Specialist and Customer Value Optimization Specialist from DigitalMarketer in February and December 2017 respectively, Marketo Certified Solutions Architect and Optimization and Testing Specialist from Marketo in December 2017, Email Marketing Specialist from DigitalMarketer in November 2017, Management Consulting Institute Level One Certification from the Management Consulting Institute in September 2016, Marketo Certified Instructor from Marketo in April 2016, Marketo Certified Expert from Marketo in March 2015, and Email Marketing Certification from HubSpot in October 2016.
