Gary King

Gary King has a long and varied work experience. Gary began their career in 1987 at Harvard University, where they held the role of Albert J. Weatherhead III University Professor and Director of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS). In 2007, Gary co-founded Crimson Hexagon, where they served as Chair of the Board. Gary then went on to co-found Learning Catalytics in 2011, which was subsequently acquired by Pearson. In 2015, they co-founded both Thresher and Perusall LLC. Finally, in 2017, Gary co-founded OpenScholar LLC.

Gary King received their BA from SUNY New Paltz in 1980 and their Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984.
