Scott Phillips has a long and varied work history. Scott started out as a Customer Service Representative at Gateway, Inc. in 2000. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Security Applications Analyst at HIPAA Academy, where they trained and consulted for healthcare and IT organizations across the country. From 2004 to 2010, they worked as a Web Developer at Drake University, where they led the adoption and implementation of Drupal for the university library web site. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Sr. Drupal Developer at Meredith, where they were responsible for the architecture, development, and content migration of ten sites to the Drupal platform. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Development Team Lead at Jackson River. Currently, they are the Director of Drupal Development at OpenScholar.
Scott Phillips attended Drake University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a BS in Information Systems and a BS in Computer Science. Scott then returned to Drake University in 2007 and obtained an MBA in Business Administration in 2009. In 2014, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance.
