Shane Wang

Shane Wang has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Shane started their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Intel Corporation in 2004, where they implemented an open source pre-kernel/VMM module called tboot. Shane also gained expertise in security technologies such as Trusted Computing, cryptography, and TPM. In 2011, they became an Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation, leading a team to work on projects related to Intel TXT and upstreaming patches to open source communities. From 2012 to the present, they continued in the role of Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation and expanded their responsibilities to include managing a team across different locations to contribute to the OpenStack community. Shane also contributed to projects such as Ceph and Open Daylight. In 2015, Shane became an Individual Director of the OpenStack Foundation Board, where they organized events and delivered presentations to promote OpenStack.

Shane Wang completed their education from 2001 to 2004 at Fudan University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science.
