Principal Engineer at OpenTable

Drew Barrett has a wealth of experience in software engineering and development. Drew started their career as a Programmer Analyst Intern at Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, where they worked on redeveloping a resource management system. Later, Barrett joined GuestBridge, Inc. as a Software Developer, where they fully designed and developed an internal restaurant support application and implemented new technologies into the GuestBridge suite of products. Drew also integrated an SMS API into the GuestBridge front of house product.

Barrett then moved on to OpenTable, where they held several roles including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Principal Engineer. As a Software Engineer, they led the integration of the GuestBridge product suite into OpenTable's reservation network, bringing in over 400 new and existing client restaurants and doubling the product's revenue over two years. Drew also worked on designing and developing the GuestBridge availability service, providing real-time restaurant availability for OpenTable's suite of products. As a Senior Software Engineer, Barrett led the modernization of the Front of House tech stack and served as the lead engineer on the Guest Center Front of House web product. Drew also worked as a full-stack engineer on the Copilot point of sale data analysis product.
