Brian Coar

Brian Coar is a seasoned Principal Site Reliability Engineer at OpenText since April 2016, where responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud environments across major public cloud providers, managing budget and access controls, and implementing automated CI pipelines. Previous experience includes serving as a System Engineer at the NYC Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications, and a Senior Systems Administrator at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, overseeing extensive virtual environments and critical infrastructure. Brian Coar began career as a Pre-Sales Engineer at Autonomy and has held supportive technical roles, including Computer Technician and Summer Analyst. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics.
