Rakesh Bhatt is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and development. Currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at OpenText, Rakesh is involved with the Hightail product, having previously held similar roles at Catalyst Repository Systems prior to its acquisition by OpenText. During tenure at Catalyst, leadership was demonstrated in software best practices that significantly improved product reliability and performance. Rakesh also has a background as a Technical Project Manager at Marlabs Inc., where innovative solutions such as a web-based text redaction tool were developed, and as Project Leader/System Analyst at SystemLogic Solutions, where an offshore development team was established. Rakesh started the career as a Software Developer and Trainer at Data Software Research Centre and has worked in various IT roles since 1990.
