Shawn Smith

Shawn Smith is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in application development and infrastructure support. Currently working at OpenText since April 2019, Shawn focuses on DevOps for the Shared Components team, utilizing open-source languages and managing CI/CD and Kubernetes environments. Previously, Shawn served as a Senior Software Developer at Microsoft from May 2007 to April 2019, where expertise was gained in cloud computing, application design, and SQL and C# development. As a Senior Consultant at BizNex LLC, a Microsoft Gold Certified company, Shawn contributed to infrastructure support for small to medium-sized businesses. Additional experience includes serving as Applications Architect at City University of Seattle, leading a team to transition to the PeopleSoft ERP system, and as a Programmer Analyst at Western Washington University, responsible for the development of the initial faculty/staff portal. Shawn holds a degree from Western Washington University, obtained between 1988 and 1993.
