Steven Thornton, PhD

Dr. Steven Thornton has been involved in various roles since 2013. Steven began their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Summer Research Assistant at Western University. In 2016, they were an Actuarial Intern at London Life. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Data Scientist at RN Financial Corporation. In 2020, they became the Head of Risk Management and Associate Portfolio Manager at OneSixtyTwo Digital Capital. Currently, they are a Blockchain Security Researcher and Blockchain Security Engineer Fellow at OpenZeppelin.

Steven Thornton, PhD, received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Mathematics from Western University in 2019. Steven had previously received a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university in 2014. Steven started their academic journey at Western University in 2009, graduating with an Honors Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Honors Specialization Applied Mathematics and a Minor in Physics in 2013.
