Opera Outreach Fellows’ Creativity Mentor at Opera Omaha

Rita Paskowitz is an experienced storytelling and arts facilitator currently serving as the Opera Outreach Fellows’ Creativity Mentor at Opera Omaha since August 2018. With a strong background in engaging audiences through storytelling, Rita has been self-employed as a storyteller since January 2000 and has contributed as a speaker coach for TEDx Omaha since August 2016. Rita co-directs the ASK ME WHY I CARE: Public Service Stories Project and has held leadership roles in various initiatives, including directing creative workshops and projects at FINDING A VOICE and facilitating storytelling programs at Grief's Journey. Additionally, Rita has extensive experience in education, serving as an instructor at the Certified Public Managers Institute/UNO and as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where Rita teaches graduate-level courses in storytelling. Rita holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Drama from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
