Operation Breakthrough
LaShanda Milner is a Youth and Family Therapist at Operation Breakthrough and the Women's Ministry Leader at KCCC. LaShanda is also the Crossroads Kids Camp Director at Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation. LaShanda holds a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In addition, LaShanda is the sole owner and operator of Mary's Foundation of Hope, where LaShanda provides grief education and support as a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. LaShanda's passion lies in being a change agent in the lives of others by offering compassion, education, and the necessary tools for individuals and families experiencing grief and loss.
Operation Breakthrough
Operation Breakthrough is the largest single site early childhood center and day care in the state of Missouri. Every day, we serve around 400 children and their families with educational services, speech, occupational and physical therapy, social service support, and mental health services. Children's Mercy Hospital maintains an on-site clinic to serve the health needs of our children. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and are a Head Start Center. Founded in 1971 by Sr. Corita Bussanmas and Sr Berta Sailer as St. Vincent's Family Service Center, we strive to provide high quality educational and support services in a manner that will meet the needs of the families of the inner city of Kansas City, Missouri.
