Officially launching January 1st, 2026.

Operation MOS is an AI-powered résumé engine built to help U.S. military veterans translate their Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) into clear, civilian-readable résumé language.

Many veterans leave transition programs without a usable résumé or a concise narrative that reflects the value of their service. Operation MOS addresses this gap by reframing military experience into industry-standard civilian terminology, producing a polished résumé in minutes.

Developed as part of graduate research at Vanderbilt University, the system uses large language models and curated MOS-to-civilian taxonomies to generate concise, action-oriented résumé bullet points tailored to each veteran’s background. The tool provides a consistent, scalable alternative to the costly and inconsistent résumé services often used today.

Operation MOS is built around three goals:
• Reduce the translation gap between military terminology and civilian hiring language.
• Give veterans a tangible deliverable they can take into job searches, career fairs, and interviews.
• Improve employment outcomes through clarity, confidence, and recruiter-friendly résumé content.

Current development includes modules for résumé generation, MOS-to-civilian skill mapping, and content evaluation. Future extensions include LinkedIn profile optimization, interview preparation, and job-description keyword alignment.

Mission: Empower every transitioning service member with the clarity, language, and tools needed to confidently enter the civilian workforce.
