Nick Moore

Nick Moore has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Nick began their career at Newcastle Building Society as a Product Admin Officer from April 2010 to May 2011. Nick then joined Newcastle Strategic Solutions as a Software QA Tester in May 2011 and continued in this role until October 2020. During this time, they gained expertise in various tools and methodologies related to manual and automated testing.

In October 2020, Nick joined Durham Constabulary as a Senior Software QA Tester. Here, they were responsible for leading QA activities across multiple IT projects. Nick collaborated closely with developers, business experts, and product owners in executing tests and implementing tools like TFS/Azure DevOps, SpecFlow, Selenium, and C#. Nick'srole involved working within a Scrum framework.

In January 2022, Nick took on a Digital Delivery Secondment at Opia while also functioning as the Lead QA Engineer. This role included managing Opia's Digital Delivery backlog within JIRA, refining work items, setting deadlines, and assigning tasks to the team. Additionally, they served as the main point of contact for Project Managers, providing them with guidance on campaign delivery, timelines, and risks.

In March 2021, Nick transitioned to the role of Senior QA Engineer at Opia, a position they held until October 2022. Finally, in October 2022, they were promoted to the role of Lead QA Engineer, signaling their expertise and leadership in the QA field.

Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated strong skills in manual and automated testing, utilizing tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber, SpecFlow, C#, HP Quality Center, JIRA, and more. Nick has experience working in Agile Scrum frameworks, emphasizing collaboration with developers, business analysts, and users to ensure the quality of systems under test. Overall, Nick's work experience showcases their dedication and proficiency in the field of QA engineering.

Nick Moore completed their education at Northumbria University. Nick obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from 2005 to 2008. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business with Management from 2008 to 2009.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Nick has obtained several certifications. In April 2012, they became an ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester at the Foundation Level from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. In October 2010, they completed Module 1 of the UK Financial Regulation (CeMAP) through The London Institute of Banking & Finance.

More recently, Nick has acquired various certifications related to agile project management and IT. Nick obtained the Agile Business Analysis Certificate from Udemy in January 2021. In July 2020, they became a Professional Certificate in Team Leadership holder from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Nick also achieved the ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Manager certification in June 2020.

Most recently, in early 2022, Nick obtained the AgilePM® Foundation certification from APMG International in March, the Foundation Certificate in IS Project Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in January, and the AgilePM® Practitioner certification from APMG International in April.
