Peter Chiu

Peter Chiu is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Opia since November 2025. Prior to this role, Peter was a Development Manager at Zopa Bank from April 2023 to October 2025, and previously held the same position at DivideBuy from January 2020 to April 2023, where significant contributions included scaling UK development teams and executing a full platform rearchitecture for enhanced scalability and innovation. Peter's extensive career in development includes roles as Senior Developer at multiple organizations, including easyfundraising and Purple | B Corp™, as well as foundational experience as a Developer at Rapid Web beginning in 2010. Peter holds a BSc in Computing Science from the University of Staffordshire and gained early experience in customer service at David Chiu's Chinese Takeaway.
