Kyle Lewis has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Kyle has held various roles in different companies, starting from their earliest position as a Quality Assurance Developer at Nuway Software in 2010.
At Research In Motion, they worked as a Software Test Specialist before moving on to Desire2Learn, where they were promoted to Senior Quality Assurance Developer and later became the Team Lead for the R&D department. In these roles, they designed and implemented automation frameworks in C# for system regression testing and UI testing, and collaborated closely with senior developers on backend testing.
Following their time at Desire2Learn, Kyle joined Magnet Forensics as a Software Development Engineer in Test, where they focused on developing testing tools and creating an automated regression dashboard.
At Economical Insurance, Kyle served as the Quality Assurance Lead and also worked as a Test Developer. In these roles, they were responsible for automated testing for the entire IT organization and developed an automated testing solution for analyzing data processed by Hadoop.
Kyle then joined Mappedin as a Software Test Lead, where they managed a small group of testers and was accountable for testing various products. Kyle also held the role of Development Manager and later shifted to a Quality Architect position, implementing quality improvements across the organization.
Next, Kyle worked at Auvik Networks Inc. as a System Test Technical Lead, where they designed an internal networking lab architecture to support automated testing and integration testing.
At Shinydocs, they held multiple roles, including Principal Tester, Information Technology Operations Manager, and Test Manager. In these positions, they conducted comprehensive testing activities, managed IT operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and grew the testing team with additional roles and competencies.
Most recently, Kyle worked at BlueDot as a Senior Developer in Test. In this role, they were responsible for testing and test automation in the Innovation department, collaborating with developers and product managers on data-centric solutions. Kyle implemented automated SQL validation tests and reduced verification time.
Currently, Kyle is working at OPI as the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, utilizing their expertise in software testing to ensure high-quality products.
Kyle Lewis attended Conestoga College from 1997 to 2003, where they obtained a Diploma in Computer Programmer/Analyst. In addition to their formal education, Kyle has also obtained several certifications, including the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft in June 2022. Kyle also earned certificates for "Introduction to Computational Thinking and Data Science" and "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python" from edX, although the specific dates of obtaining these certificates are not provided.
