Chris Liu

Chris Liu is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in operations and strategic management within the financial services sector. Currently serving as Vice President at Oportun since 2018, Chris has previously held the position of Senior Director of Credit Card Operations. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Manager of Payment Strategy and Operations at Upstart and Senior Director of Operations at FS Card Inc. Additionally, Chris contributed as an Advisory Business Consultant at Amber Road, overseeing enterprise-wide software implementations for major companies, and managed a global research team at SNL Financial. Chris Liu holds a BA in Economics, Psychology, and East Asian Studies from the University of Virginia, as well as an MA in Religious Studies from Liberty University.
