John Kakos has extensive experience in accounting and finance, having held key roles in several prominent companies. They worked in the Assurance Practice at Ernst & Young from 2001 to 2004 and then moved to Ford Motor Company as a Structured Funding Accountant until 2006. After that, they served in Corporate Consolidation and Reporting at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles until 2008. From 2009 to 2024, they were the Controller of Corporate Accounting at Ally. Currently, John is the Senior Vice President and Controller at OppFi, a position they have held since 2024. John earned a B.S. in Accounting from Central Michigan University between 1997 and 2001.
