Marv Gurevich

Marv Gurevich is the current General Counsel at OppFi. Prior to this, they served as an Independent Consultant from January 2016 to December 2017 where they were also the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, they partnered with Private Equity firms and C-Level executives to analyze, structure, develop, and execute legal and compliance functions for growth companies.

Some of Marv’s previous experience includes working with Global Debt Registry's Product Advisory Council as an advisor. Marv has also served as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Beyond Finance, Inc. and Liberty Lending, LLC. In both of these positions, Marv was responsible for the consumer regulatory compliance and legal function, governance, risk management in relation to BSA/AML/Patriot Act, Dodd-Frank and other bank and securities regulations.

Marv has a wealth of experience in compliance management systems (CMS) and has advised on intellectual property, transactional, asset sale/purchase (securitizations), labor law, marketing, commercial contract, and vendor on-boarding/management matters.

Marv Gurevich received their BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and their JD in Law from New York Law School.

They are on a team with John O'Reilly - Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Mckay - Chief Credit Officer, and Karishma Patel Buford - Chief People Officer. Marv Gurevich reports to Jared Kaplan, Chief Executive Officer.
