Yuri Ter - Saakyants

Yuri Ter-Saakyants is the Chief Technology Officer at OppFi, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to that, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Insureon from February 2012 to December 2020.

Under Yuri's leadership, the Insureon platform processed $150M in total written premiums, +95K applications, +2.5M web visitors, and 250K bound policies annually. Yuri also oversaw the deployment of the AMS for key enterprise clients that included National Insurance Payroll, Insurance Brokerage, and HR management and payroll providers.

In addition, Yuri was responsible for expanding the platform to support small commercial businesses and leading distributors, which encompassed 340K applications, +2.6M quotes, $500M+ in total written premium, and 250K bound policies on an annual basis along with 17K users.

Yuri recruited and mentored a team that grew from three staff to 45 onshore engineers, six offshore engineers, and Quality Assurance testers while also positioning operations to expand with additional offshore resources for large-scale projects on an as-needed basis.

Finally, Yuri successfully transitioned the entire business to remote operations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic with zero productivity loss across all departments.

Yuri Ter-Saakyants has a Masters in Information Systems from DePaul Driehaus College of Business and a Computer Engineering degree from University of Illinois Chicago.
