Hai Tang

Hai Tang currently serves as Vice President of the OPPO Research Institute since January 2020, after holding the position of Director of Standardization at Guangdong OPPO Mobile Communication Co., LTD. from April 2015 to December 2019, where responsibilities included research and standardization of wireless technologies. Prior experience includes Director at NewView Trading DMCC, overseeing smartphone import/export, and a series of roles at China Mobile, culminating as Deputy Principle Staff responsible for research and standardization in Radio Access Network. Hai Tang has also served as Vice Chairman of 3GPP TSG RAN from March 2009 to March 2013, contributing significantly to LTE standardization. An educational background includes a Master’s degree in Communication and Information Systems from China Academy of Telecommunication Technology and dual Bachelor's degrees in Electronics Engineering from Zhejiang University.
