Jinglin Shen

Jinglin Shen is a Principal Software Engineer at OPPO, leading a team focused on video generation algorithms and applications since July 2019, with notable achievements including the launch of the AI Motion feature with the Oppo Reno 13. Prior to OPPO, Jinglin served as a Staff Computer Vision Engineer at Xpeng Motors from May 2018 to May 2019 and as a Camera Application Engineer at Apple, contributing to significant projects such as iPhone FaceID and Vision Pro between June 2015 and May 2018. Jinglin's experience also includes a role as a Software Developer at Microsoft, working on camera and computational photography as well as video codecs. Jinglin earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas, where research focused on computer vision and human-machine interaction, and received the Best Student Paper Award at IEEE ROSE2010. Additional educational qualifications include an MS in Computer Engineering from Columbia Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
